A very rare and unusually attractive potin unit from the Mediomatrici

CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Mediomatrici. Circa 60-30/25 BC. Unit (Potin, 16 mm, 2.97 g, 10 h), Ambactus. AMBACTVS Bucranium facing; above, pentagram. Rev. Eagle, with wings spread, standing left within laurel wreath. DT 619. LT -. Scheers série 140, fig. 503. Very rare. An unusually clear and particularly attractive example with a lovely grayish patina. Minor flan fault on the obverse and the reverse slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
